Youth Sunday

Youth Sunday will be April 26. The children and youth of our congregation will lead us in worship on this special day. Please make sure your children/grandchildren (ages 5 years old through 12th grade) are at church in the coming weeks as we begin to plan and learn music and parts. We will have a special Lock-in April 10-11 to learn about what it means to worship and to work through all the pieces of Youth Sunday. Of course, there will be fun and games during the Lock-in as well. Our final rehearsal for Youth Sunday will be on Saturday April 25, 10AM-12N.  Please mark these dates on your calendar.

BE SAFE – BE AWARE

Be Safe Be Aware2Do you ever worry about the safety of the children in your life?  How to protect our children and youth in our crazy world of predators, drugs, and violence is of great concern.  To help our young people navigate through our world safely, we are hosting BE SAFE – BE AWARE.  This event scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 12noon -2:00p.m. will help our youth and adults look at the safety issues facing young people today.  Mike Simpson (Preble County Sherriff), Matt Lyons (Law Enforcement Specialist), and Martin Schaefer (Computer/Internet Specialist) will lead this informative afternoon.  Everyone is welcome.  Lunch will be provided.  Please invite your friends and neighbors.

COATS FOR HOPE HOUSE

On Sunday, October 26 our Chi Rho middle school youth delivered 20 new winter coats to Hope House’s Women’s and Children’s Center.  They helped children find the right size.  The children’s faces were filled with delight as they were zipped into their new coats.  One young girl, stretched her arms as wide as she could and squealed, “It’s purple!”  The money used to buy the coats came from previous mission fundraisers the Chi Rho youth had earned.
