Welcome to the website of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Middletown, Ohio. First Christian Church is a church that respects it’s history while imagining it’s future. We strive to honor our tradition both of our congregation and our denomination, while striving to serve our community and it’s members in new and exciting ways.
We gather for a traditional protestant worship on Sundays at 10:30 AM. We sing hymns, hear a word based on the lectionary readings, and follow the liturgical calendar of the larger ecumenical christian tradition.
We gather for Modern worship on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. We enjoy contemporary music, no formal standard order of worship. This service takes time to have questions and answers and extended prayer time.
All of our services include communion, as is the tradition of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States & Canada. Our communion table is open to anyone who accepts Jesus as their savior. That invitation is regardless of your history, previous practices, or your own doctrinal beliefs.
