Camp Work Day

First Christian will be going to a Camp Christian on
Saturday, June 30th. We will meet at the church at 7:45 AM. We
will need to get on the road by 8:00 and arrive at Camp Christian
around 10:00. The campers will be going home as we are arriving.
We will be helping Al Channel, Camp Superintendent with cleaning
of cabins, cleaning of bathrooms, and mowing lawn at camp. I will
be putting up a sign up sheet on the Narthex Table. I am asking for
anyone who can make it, please come. We need to show up in a
big way as there is a lot of work to do. I also ask that you please
bring your breakfast with you to church (including coffee and juice)
and a sack lunch. Any questions, please see Matt Thomas.

Central Academy Week of Giving

On Wednesday December 20th, we had students from our neighbor Central Academy come to join us in preparing for Christmas eve services, they helped assemble luminaries, and prepare candles for candlelight service among many other things.

This is part of Central Academy’s 12th Week of Giving where the School sends students to organizations in town, to teach them the importance of volunteering in your community.

Keys and Alarm Codes

It is necessary to periodically re‐set and clean up our security system to eliminate codes and reclaim keys which are no longer needed. If you have a key to the building or a code for the alarm system, please contact Cliff Thompson by June 15, when all building access codes will be reset.

Note that if you have access to the building and do not contact Cliff, you will be responsible for any alarm fines assessed due to not being able to turn off the alarm. Thank you for your cooperation in this endeavor.

Caring for God’s House

We have been entrusted with the care of God’s House. Our church building and grounds are sacred. They have been set apart from the rest of the world and consecrated as God’s. Just as we care for our own homes, we are to care for God’s home. People are needed to clean, dust, vacuum, etc. If you do it at your house, it needs to be done at the church. Please prayerfully consider doing your part to care for the sacred space known as FCC‐Middletown. To volunteer, please contact the church office or sign up on the bulletin board over the drinking fountain.
